Mitsui Ocean Cruises
MOL Cruises, Ltd. announced an exclusive partnership with Chef Kiyomi Mikuni, Japan's master of Japanese-French fusion cuisine, for MITSUI OCEAN FUJI (debuting December 1, 2024) — his first time cooking aboard a ship. Two venues: HOKUSAI FINE DINING features his five-course prix fixe dinners (e.g., Pacific Bluefin Tuna Tartare, Wagyu Beef Filet with Foie Gras), with 36 Unjo Suite guests receiving one complimentary dinner for two; THE RESTAURANT FUJI rotates his signature dishes with cruise favorites. Executive Chef Katsutoshi Nakayama called it a combination of heritage and Mikuni's expertise. Chef Mikuni (b. 1954, Hokkaido) was the first Japanese chef to receive France's Chevalier of the Legion of Honour (2015). The 458-guest ship offers debut cruises through January 2025, spring sailings, and a 66-day Grand Asia Cruise from May 2025.
