[Tsunemichi Mukai – President]: MOL Cruises, Ltd., which operates under the brand name MITSUI OCEAN CRUISES, today unveiled the new names of the dining, entertainment and wellness spaces reflecting the essence of Japan, its deep culture that values harmony and nature, the praise of delicious cuisine and “FUNATABI - beautiful encounters with Japan.”

 

The 458-guest, 32,477-ton MITUSI OCEAN FUJI is scheduled to debut in Yokohama on Dec. 1, 2024. The Praise of Delicious Cuisine

  • THE RESTAURANT FUJI (Main Dining) - The ship’s namesake main restaurant, offers a full-service dining experience featuring Chef curated menus, authentic Japanese cuisine and international dishes.

  • TERRACE RESTAURTANT HACHIYO - Signifying the summit of Mount Fuji featuring eight peaks known as “Hachiyo”, this buffet restaurant offers a wide variety of global food offerings in an open space with gorgeous ocean views. Furthermore, an omakase sushi menu will be available at night. Outdoor “Al Fresco” dining is also available.

  • HOKUSAI FINE DINING - Named after the famous Japanese Artist Katsushika Hokusai who created many famous renderings of Mount Fuji, this is dining with the highest quality of presentation, service and seasonal ingredients specially curated by the chef.

  • POOLSIDE RESTAURANT KOHAN - Inspired by the lakes of Mount Fuji, "Kohan (lakeside)" evokes the tranquility and beauty of nature. Here, guests can enjoy a fast casual meal and beverage offering designed by our culinary experts while basking in the serene and peaceful atmosphere of nature, harmonizing with the pool and ocean views. 

  • OCEAN CAFÉ - Casual walk-up food and beverage offerings with teas, coffees, pastries and small bites located in the central MITSUI OCEAN SQUARE.


Lounges & Bars

  • MITSUI OCEAN SQUARE - The central guest services desk and lounge, as comfortable as home.

  • OBSERVATION BAR 36 - The name of the lounge was given in honor of the rich diversity and unique beauty of the landscape in Hokusai Katsushika's masterpiece "Fugaku Sanjurokkei"(Thirty-six views of Mt. Fuji). Guests can enjoy the panoramic view before or after dinner while sipping craft cocktails, inspired by the changing seasons at Mt. Fuji.

  • OCEAN CLUB AND BAR - Alongside the OCEAN CLUB, serving beverages to guests enjoying live music, lecturers and games. 

 

Entertainment

  • OCEAN STAGE - Symbolizing the vast beauty of the sea and the magic of cruising upon it, this main stage literally becomes a platform at sea, creating endless stories and moments of awe throughout the journey featuring music, dance, drama and special events.

  • OCEAN CLUB - A smaller entertainment space for guest activities, games and live music.

  • OCEAN CASINO - For those guests who love to play games, blackjack and roulette are available.
