Distinct Cruises International Terms and Conditions

Introduction


Welcome to Distinct Cruises International. These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of our website, www.mitsuioceancruises.us and the services provided by Distinct Cruises International ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing this website, you accept these terms and conditions in full. If you disagree with these terms and conditions or any part of these terms and conditions, you must not use this website.


1. Definitions


  • Client: Refers to the person accessing this website and accepting the Company's terms and conditions.

  • Company: Refers to Distinct Cruises International.

  • Services: Refers to the travel planning and booking services provided by DCI.


2. Use of the Website


By using this website, you warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into binding contracts. You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of the website.


3. Booking and Payment


  • Booking: When you make a booking through our website, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. Your booking is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation email from us.

  • Payment: A deposit for services must be made at the time of booking. We accept various forms of payment, including credit cards and other online payment methods. All prices are listed in US Dollars and include applicable taxes.


4. Cancellations and Refunds


  • Cancellations: If you wish to cancel your booking, you must notify us in writing. Cancellation policies vary depending on the service booked. Please refer to the specific cancellation policy provided at the time of booking.

  • Refunds: Refunds will be processed according to the cancellation policy applicable to the service booked. Processing fees may apply.


5. Changes to Services


We reserve the right to modify or discontinue our services at any time without prior notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.


6. Intellectual Property Rights


Unless otherwise stated, DCI, Cruise and/or its licensors own the intellectual property rights for all material on this website. All intellectual property rights are reserved. You may view and/or print pages from www.mitsuioceancruises.us for your own personal use, subject to restrictions set in these terms and conditions.


7. Limitation of Liability


To the fullest extent permitted by law, Distinct Cruises International, Cruise shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your use of or inability to use the website; (ii) any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein; (iii) any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from our website; (iv) any bugs, viruses, trojan horses, or the like that may be transmitted to or through our website by any third party; or (v) any errors or omissions in any content or for any loss or damage incurred as a result of the use of any content posted, emailed, transmitted, or otherwise made available through the website.


8. Indemnification


You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DCI Cruise, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and third parties, for any losses, costs, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) relating to or arising out of your use of or inability to use the website or services, any user postings made by you, your violation of any terms of this agreement or your violation of any rights of a third party, or your violation of any applicable laws, rules or regulations.


9. Governing Law


These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of USA/Connecticut , and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that location.


10. Changes to These Terms and Conditions


We reserve the right to revise these terms and conditions at any time without notice. By using this website, you are agreeing to be bound by the current version of these terms and conditions.

Guests may select the Onboard Credit Offer.

Onboard Credit Offer – Terms & Conditions Up to US $2,000 Onboard Credit per suite (maximum US $1,000 per guest) is available for new bookings on the April 29, 2026, 11-night Mitsui Ocean Fuji Golden Week sailing, and applies to the first two guests per suite only. Onboard Credit amounts vary by suite category. Onboard Credit is awarded as a non-transferable credit applied to the guest’s onboard account (“Credit”) and is issued in the ship’s onboard currency (Japanese yen).

The USD equivalent value will be converted at the ship’s prevailing exchange rate at time of issuance. Eligible Credit amounts per guest are as follows: Oceanview Suites: US $500 per guest / Veranda Suites: US $750 per guest / Penthouse Suites and above: US $1,000 per guest. 

Guests traveling in sole occupancy will receive the applicable single per-guest Credit amount for their suite category (ranging from US $500–$1,000). Credit must be used on the voyage for which it is awarded, has no cash value, is not redeemable for cash, and expires at the end of the voyage.  Offer is capacity controlled, subject to availability at time of booking, and may be modified or withdrawn without notice.  Additional restrictions may apply.

Guests are responsible for obtaining all required passports, visas, electronic travel authorizations and vaccinations prior to departure from the United States or Canada. Cruise bookings are subject to Mitsui Ocean Cruises’ booking terms and Conditions and passage contract which are available at www.mitsuioceancruises.com.us/ T&C of Carriage. Important information:

  • Cherry blossom viewing is subject to natural weather conditions and cannot be guaranteed. Bloom times may vary and are beyond Mitsui Ocean Cruises' control.

  • All voyages on Mitsui Ocean Fuji are international cruises. Guests cannot board or disembark midway due to personal reasons.

  • Guests must hold a passport with sufficient validity and arrange any necessary visas, entry permits and vaccinations required for the countries on their itinerary.

  • On boarding the ship, guests are asked to register a credit card to cover onboard expenditure (accepted cards: VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, JCB).

  • The cruise itineraries in this brochure are not guaranteed. The itineraries, ports of call, departure and arrival times and routes are subject to change, including (without limitation) due to weather and sea conditions, mechanical difficulties or other unforeseen circumstances.

  • Onboard facilities, rooms, and services are subject to change.

  • Additional charges may apply to some onboard amenities, activities, and dining/bar experiences. This may include items such as specialty dining, select beverages, shore tours, shopping, upgraded Wi-Fi services, laundry services, spa services, fitness classes and medical services.

  • Some ports can only be accessed using ships’ tenders or local ferry boats. Tender ports and tender boats are generally not accessible to guests who use a wheelchair. For safety reasons, guests who are unable to climb or descend stairs may not be permitted to board tender boats.

  • Each cruise requires a minimum number of guest bookings. If this minimum is not met, the cruise may be cancelled.

  • The pools and whirlpools onboard the Vessel do not have a lifeguard on duty. Children must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian at all times while in or near the pools and whirlpools.

  • We welcome children 6 months and over on cruises of less than 30 days duration, and 12 months and over on cruises of 30 days duration or longer. For safety reasons, guest suites may not be occupied solely by individuals under the age of 15. Due to limited neo-natal and specialist medical services onboard, guests who will be entering their 24th week of pregnancy or later at any time during the cruise cannot be accepted for boarding or booking.

  • Guests with underlying medical conditions, heart disease, or chronic respiratory disease should consult with their family physician before applying for the cruise. Guests undergoing dialysis are requested to please consult in advance with the travel agency through which your application is submitted. If guests wish to bring medical equipment (oxygen cylinders, etc.) onboard, please make sure to provide details when applying for the cruise.

  • Guests may be requested to submit a "Health Questionnaire".

  • All bookings and travel on our cruises are subject to Mitsui Ocean Cruises’ passage contract. You can find the passage contract www.mitsuioceancruises.com.us/ T&C
